The Napoli ship sank off the south coast of England. The hull was moved to Harland & Wolff for dismantling and we were commissioned to clean the interior to aid the dismantling process. The wastes comprised heavy fuel oils and our role included its removal and treatment to meet hazardous waste disposal parameters. Our involvement assisted the client in realising potential savings on the project by maintaining low tonnages whilst meeting hazardous waste acceptance criteria. These waste were brokered by ourselves to a licensed disposal facility in North East England. The project costs was approx £400K
